Hira’s story
Hira Mukhtar, a resident of Bradford, had spent several years dedicating her time and energy to being a homemaker. While she found this role fulfilling, she felt an urge for change brewing within her. She yearned for a new challenge, a fresh start, and a chance to make her mark in a professional field. With interests in both Childcare and IT, Hira decided it was time to equip herself with the necessary skills to pursue a new career.
Having previously experienced the quality of education provided by Realise, Hira knew exactly where to turn for her learning needs. She was particularly impressed with Realise’s unwavering commitment to student development and their personalised approach to teaching. These factors made her decision to enrol in the Level 2 Functional Skills English course an easy one.
In the beginning, Hira faced feelings of nervousness and apprehension. The thought of diving back into academics after a break was daunting. However, her tutor, Martin Leonard, proved to be a pillar of support. His constant encouragement and faith in her abilities gave Hira the confidence she needed to overcome her fears and embrace the learning process. “Martin was my trainer for this course. He was really supportive, friendly, and gave me confidence and encouragement throughout this course. His dedication to helping me achieve was brilliant.”
Throughout the course, Hira found herself growing not just academically but also personally. Her English skills improved significantly, and she found her understanding of the language deepening. More importantly, she discovered a newfound confidence in herself and her abilities.
