I’ve been delivering apprenticeships in management and leadership since 2019. My background is mainly in the fresh produce sector. I’m passionate about people so I’m a chartered member of the CIPD. I started my training delivery with things like food safety, H&S and fire. More recently I’ve been delivering management and leadership training in the care sector.
As a trainer, I believe my main role is to support my learners through their apprenticeship journey so that they can discover the best version of themselves for the future.

10+ years’ experience in generalist HR roles across a range of organisations including large blue chip and small charities has led to a trainer role at Realise in business skills where I am really enjoying supporting the learners and watching them achieve.
Outside of work, live in Wokingham where I make regular use of the lovely local bars and restaurants, an enthusiastic podcast listener, lover of the great outdoors, keen amateur psychologist, definitely a dog person, mum to 2 teenagers, glass half full – enjoying the small things in life.

I have worked as a language teacher for over 12 years. After completing the PGCE at the University of Chester I taught French and Spanish in England and Wales. I was introduced to apprenticeships in 2009 when I joined West Lancashire College and worked as a tutor delivering Key Skills, Functional Skills (English, Maths and ICT at level 1 and level 2).
After two years, I qualified as an assessor and delivered business administration, customer service, team leading and management qualifications level 2 and level 3. I am also a qualified IQA too.
I work as a trainer, delivering customer service, business administration, team leader and operations and departmental manager qualifications. I have a good work ethic and I like to pass this on to my learners, motivating them to aim high, perform well and develop themselves both personally and professionally. I enjoy helping learners improve their knowledge and skills and achieving their goals.

I am one of the newer appointed training & development officers within the business skills team, responsible for supporting Level 3 Customer Service Specialist apprentices and mainly working with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). I am passionate about “facilitating” personal and professional development of all my “students” and have a wealth of experience in areas ranging from Level 2 Public (Uniformed) Services to Level 7 Senior Management qualifications. At present, I am happily supporting Realise/DWP Level 3 apprentices on the customer service specialist programme and am happy to have “found a home” where the Realise way is, indeed, the right way. Currently “bouncing around like a dog with two tails” and really excited about the future of the organisation and my personal role in it.

Hello, I’m Charlotte, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as a Training and Development Officer for Realise. With two years of experience in this field, I have gained a deep understanding of the challenges that learners face. Prior to joining Realise, I worked in the Funeral Industry and completed my own apprenticeship, so I am familiar with the pressure that comes with learning new skills.
As a passionate educator, I believe that learning should be fun and engaging. That’s why I love to incorporate games and interactive activities into my training sessions, ensuring that my learners are fully immersed and motivated. After all, nobody enjoys a dull training course! With my engaging approach, I have helped countless learners achieve their goals and reach their full potential. I am committed to supporting each of my learners in the best way possible, and I look forward to helping you succeed too.

I only work part time now, so I have plenty of opportunity to get out and about in the Staffordshire countryside with my beautiful little dog, Truffle.

I started my career as a management trainee in retail, so I know what it is like to work and do a qualification at the same time.

At the end of my training programme, I progressed from supervisor right through to senior management level. This progression has meant I have learnt and developed a great portfolio of business skills; customer service, business administration, retail and management. I chose to move into apprenticeships in 2007 because I wanted to share my industry knowledge and skills to help develop and support others just starting out in their careers or progressing in their workplace.

I returned back to the retail industry in 2016 as an operations manager to further enhance and enrich my skills and knowledge.

My love of training and development has never left me hence joining Realise in 2022. I enjoy seeing individuals learn and grow in their role and I love being an integral part of their development.

I am a recent starter to the Realise team. I have been married to Joanne for 37 years and have 3 grown up children who still insist on living at home.

I have had a variety of jobs over the years, butcher, bar manager, cellarman, front of house manager, and was self-trained to become the head chef of a local bar and restaurant.

I have been lucky to have had some very successful catering businesses, since then. In between I decided to take a career break and worked for 13 years in the warehouse and logistics industry, becoming Operations Manager.

Working with people and getting the very best out of them, seeing them develop and have the best opportunities in life is a passion.

Key to me wanting to be part of the Realise team was feeling a connection to the company’s values, which are very important to me. I look forward to the journey ahead.

Hi there, I’m Gemma, Performance Manager at Realise.
I first dipped my toe into adult education whilst working in health and social care. This has led to many years’ experiences as an educator. I hold an assessing qualification as well as a HND in teaching. I have many years’ experiences in the health and social care sector, and I have been in varied roles including a CQC Registered Manager for a large domiciliary care company where I managed 60 staff. I have always been drawn to teaching and helping people succeed, so I found myself drifting towards education and I this is where I have stayed. I spent years working within the apprenticeship courses, but for the last few years I have worked within the AEB sector.
I have two children aged 14 and 4! They keep me busy when I’m not working. We enjoy going on holiday very much, and I am known to drop impromptu day trips on a Saturday morning. I enjoy being in the water, and I’m always the first to jump in a pool or swim in the sea! (Even in the rain).

I have been working in as an assessor for 5 years after working in the health and social care sector for over 30 years in elderly residential care where I specialised as a deputy manager in dementia care and end of life support. I love to share my knowledge and help learners to progress with their apprenticeship to give them the opportunity to achieve the skills and practice to support our aging population.
As an assessor I have keen belief that all learners are different and have a variety of aspirations and goals, whether it is just to up skill or to climb the career ladder as I did in my health and social care career.
I am looking forward to working at Realise and helping apprentices find the right course and support through a varied and structured journey of their learning and development and fulfilling their true potential.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets and exploring new places on holiday.

Starting my career as a room leader and working my way up to a nursery manager. I have now taken a leap into assessing and have a great passion for this! I enjoy supporting learners in achieving their apprenticeship and being part of their early years journey. Seeing the learner’s development and the real impact they make within the sector is amazing.

I am a passionate learner and enjoy passing on my knowledge to others, so teaching is a perfect career for me! I have worked in the early years sector for over 25 years, starting as a newly qualified practitioner, nannying in London (spreading my wings and having fun!) over the years, moving on to more senior roles in early years settings, and eventually managing nurseries. 10 years ago I decided I wanted to change course and moved into post-16 education. Through hard work and dedication, I completed my studies and started working in the early years apprenticeship sector. I have since specialised in safeguarding and currently support the safeguarding team here at Realise alongside my teaching. All the while being a mother and wife. I have loved every minute of it and look forward to supporting more apprentices on their early years journey

I started my career by chance when i got offered to work at a nursery, as support staff for holiday club and it changed my life. I worked my way through level 2, and 3 apprenticeship, and became a room leader, I was supporting apprentices at the nursery as their mentor and I had a great assessor myself who influenced me to want to become an assessor. I continued developing myself as a nursery practitioner for 10 years before I took the step to complete my assessors qualification. I have been assessing now for 6 years and I can’t think of anything better. I love going to visit settings and seeing my learners, from seeing them progress through their careers and develop to be fantastic practitioners. Being an assessor is so rewarding.

I started my early years journey back in 1998, when I joined a voluntary committee of my daughter’s pre-school. I later chaired the committee before completing my level 3, as a work-based qualification, and then my degree and early years teacher status, as I worked my way up to manage the setting.

I moved over to teaching and assessing early years apprenticeships back in 2013 and my passion about people and supporting their development and learning (whether young or old) is still at the heart of what I do every day.  As an ex-manager, I know how hard it is to find good reliable staff that understand what it is to be an effective practitioner or educator, so this has also become my mission.  Listening to employers’ needs is where I start the process.
