Ngozi Angel Ike-Alum completes her Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
Ngozi Angel Ike-Alum works for Creative Support, one of England’s largest national not-for-profit providers of care, support and prevention services. The organisation supports people with a range of needs and is committed to promoting independence, inclusion and wellbeing through high-quality, person-centred support.
Ngozi chose to complete the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care to develop her knowledge, strengthen her practical skills and become more confident in her role.
“I wanted to improve my ability to support individuals safely and effectively, while developing the knowledge and confidence I needed to progress in my career.”
Throughout the course, Ngozi developed her understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, medication management, risk assessment, positive behaviour support, communication and leadership.
She has applied this learning across her role at Creative Support, from supporting individuals and completing documentation to working with colleagues and liaising with other professionals. The programme has also strengthened her ability to advocate for the people she supports, ensuring their needs, wishes and choices remain at the centre of their care.
Making an impact at work
Since completing the course, Ngozi has become more proactive in areas including audits, medication management, staff support and person-centred planning. She has also shared her learning with colleagues to help promote good practice across her team.
“The course has increased my confidence, strengthened my professional knowledge and prepared me for greater responsibility. It has supported my development into my senior role and given me a stronger foundation for future career progression.”
Ngozi believes the knowledge and experience she has gained will continue to benefit her colleagues and the people supported by Creative Support. She now feels better equipped to make informed decisions, communicate effectively and lead by example.

Ngozi was supported throughout the programme by her Realise trainer, Loveness Gosha. She credits Loveness’s encouragement, constructive feedback and willingness to challenge her as important parts of her development.
“I especially appreciated the on-the-spot questions during our meetings. Although they were challenging at the time, they encouraged me to prepare thoroughly, think on my feet and apply my knowledge to real-life situations. They helped to build my confidence and deepen my understanding.”
