2 Kids Play & Learn staff members from Sevenoaks Kent have made huge strides since embarking on their Level 3 Diploma journey with Realise.
Sadete Halilaj, director and manager at Kids Play & Learn Pre-school in Sevenoaks Kent, was left blown away by the impact her staff Mimoze and Jade have made since beginning their Level 3 Early Years Educator Diploma journeys.
Mimoze (pictured on the left) has completed her AEB Level 3 Diploma, with Jade (pictured on the right) still currently on the programme.
Like many nurseries throughout the country, Sadete told us that Kids Play & Learn had struggled to find qualified nursery workers due to the national recruitment crisis. Enrolling her staff on a Level 3 Diploma allowed Sadete to enhance their skills and knowledge and deliver high-quality childcare in the local Kent area.
Having heard great things about the mentors and assessors here at Realise from fellow nursery owners, Sadete reached out, wanting to upskill Mimoze and Jade and encourage them to believe in their own abilities.
Sadete was impressed with the support she received and that the trainer from Realise (Ayse Lacey) was so helpful and always available for phone or email conversations.
Sadete reflected that when Mimoze and Jade first joined Kids Play & Learn, they lacked confidence, despite being more than capable.
As their dedicated trainer, Ayse Lacey was there to provide regular support and guidance to Mimoze and Jade. With her easy-to-approach manner and excellent knowledge of early years, Ayse was crucial in inspiring them both to succeed.
Ayse is proud to have played a part in both Mimoze and Jade’s individual learning journeys:
As a small registered setting, Sadete had the privilege of witnessing their growth in ability and confidence as they took on the diploma.
“Working, studying and bringing up their own children is by no means an easy feat. However, the mentor they have has made a huge difference for them both.”
Prior to enrolling on the diploma, Sadete told us that one of the Mimoze was very shy despite being very good at working with children, “she did not credit herself with doing a good job”.
With the unwavering support, positive energy and feedback from Ayse, Sadete has witnessed a marked change in Mimoze’s confidence.
Sadete has also noticed a huge improvement in the planning and setting up of learning activities for the children. Activities are now carried out to a higher standard and Mimoze and Jade now have the confidence to take the lead – which is so rewarding to see.
Having seen first-hand the incredible impact that funded learning could bring to Kids Play & Learn Pre-School, Sadete is already looking ahead to future training ventures with Realise.
Sadete said:
“We had the best experience with Realise and we will continue to sign up other apprentices. And we would be very happy to have Miss Lacey again.”
A huge well done to both Mimoze and Jade!
