About the course

Retail team leaders are a critical support to managers, delivering exceptional customer service and a positive experience to customers, and may have to deputise for managers in their absence.

Learning can be tailored to the employer and we can share our experiences of delivering to a wide range of employers to support you in the best possible way.

The programme typically takes 12 months + EPA and is delivered by our sector expert trainers providing blended learning.

This course is cost-free to learners. All our programmes are  regulated and funded through the government or the apprenticeship levy.

Is this course right for you?

This apprenticeship is for individuals who are currently working as or aim to be a team leader or supervisor within a retail environment.

This course is designed for those who are working in retail who want to progress in their career, take on more responsibility and want to learn how to be a successful leader. Additionally, it is for those working in a junior role looking to enhance their career.

There are no formal minimum entry requirements to join the programme, these are typically set by your employer. Previous examples have been five GCSEs at Grade C or higher and an appropriate amount of management experience with sufficient exposure and opportunity to be able to fulfil the apprenticeship requirement.

I would encourage anybody considering an apprenticeship to go ahead with it. It can be crucial in enhancing careers.

I have been in work based learning for nearly 15 years and seen many changes, with the move across to standards the most significant and I feel this has added real value to the apprentice programmes we deliver. Being a curriculum lead I have also had the opportunity to create bespoke delivery models so that every apprenticeship journey can be different and suit the learners and their employers in the best possible way and support them to end point assessment.
