About the course

Our early years business administrator apprenticeship has been designed by sector experts to reflect the specific administrative needs of early years settings.

This 14 month learning programme provides you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in an early years office environment.

The individualised course is a relatively in-depth apprenticeship programme that incorporates a wide range of complex and more advanced skills to help you grow and flourish within your early years setting.

It will cover a total of 9 phases which have been identified as being crucial areas for an early years business administrator to understand and demonstrate.

The programme is delivered in cohorts which will give apprentices the chance to work with other administrators and share best practice.

Is this course right for you?

To be enrolled on this apprenticeship, it’s crucial that you have some level of experience and understanding of early years administration.

This programme is aimed at those individuals in a senior administrator role or who have experience of early years administrative duties.

Key skills for the role include having a positive attitude, taking responsibility, time management, accuracy, attention to detail and working with integrity.

As an early years business administrator you’ll also be expected to show initiative, managing priorities and use problem-solving skills, as well as supporting others.

How you’ll learn

The programme is delivered in cohorts, to provide learners with the opportunity to network with individuals at similar stages of their careers.

Outside of the cohorts, learners will complete research projects, online courses, professional discussions, self-assessments and gather witness statements. All these activities will prepare them for the end point assessment which includes a knowledge test, portfolio interview and presentation of a workplace project.
