About the course

Our Level 2 Specialised Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship is designed to help care professionals who are new to the role develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care.

The programme combines core care knowledge with specialist learning pathways, allowing training to be tailored to your role. The Activities Co-ordinator pathway equips learners with the skills to plan and deliver meaningful activities that promote wellbeing, independence, inclusion and social engagement.

Alongside the Adult Care Worker standard, learners on this pathway develop the confidence to create person-centred activities that reflect individual interests, abilities and preferences, while learning how to plan and deliver engaging sessions within their care setting.

As part of the programme, learners also achieve the Skills for Care-endorsed Care Certificate, providing a recognised foundation in safe, compassionate and high-quality care while supporting compliance with industry best practice.

This apprenticeship combines workplace learning with expert trainer support, enabling learners to apply their knowledge directly in practice.

How you’ll learn

Learners receive dedicated support from an experienced trainer while developing competence in both the Adult Care Worker standard and the Activities Co-ordinator pathway.
