The course equips learners with the knowledge and skills needed to identify, support, and respond appropriately to mental health needs in a range of settings.

Through interactive activities, case studies, and real-world applications, learners will explore key mental health terminology, common conditions, and related concepts. The course examines theories and frameworks linked to children and young people's mental health, including the journey of recovery, alongside relevant legislation, best practice, and safeguarding principles.

Learners will also explore societal perceptions of mental health, including stigma and discrimination, and the influence of social and cultural factors.
