Pathways into Childcare: Wraparound Support


Wraparound care is growing fast, and more adults are needed to help children stay safe, engaged and happy before and after the school day. If you enjoy being around children and fancy learning something new, our free, 4-week online course could be exactly the opportunity you've been looking for.

This also includes one day of face-to-face teaching in the classroom, where you will complete your Paediatric First Aid qualification.

You'll gain practical skills for working in breakfast, after-school, and holiday clubs or as a lunchtime supervisor. This is all through flexible online learning that fits around your life. No experience or qualifications needed; just an interest in helping children learn and play.

  • Child development (5-11 years).

  • Safeguarding and responding to concerns.
  • Creating safe, engaging play environments.
  • Health, wellbeing and managing risk.
  • Preparing for work in wraparound childcare.
By the end, you'll have a genuinely practical toolkit plus an accredited first aid certificate, ready to take into a breakfast, after-school or holiday club setting.
