Introducing the new Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate

Eligible adult social care employers can apply for funding to cover a wide range of training programmes and qualifications, including the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate, on behalf of their eligible staff.

Enhancing care services

Are you looking to enhance your care team and upskill new starts, ensuring they meet the mandatory care standards?

Realise is leading the way in offering a NEW Level 2 Care Certificate delivered like no other provider on the market.

Developed with Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health, this Level 2 Certificate will equip learners with the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to have a base level competency for a role in adult social care.

Who is suitable for the Level 2 Certificate?

The programme is suitable for those aged 19 or older, looking to enter the sector and those who already work in a direct adult social care setting.

With 52% of the current care workforce not holding a Level 2 care qualification, the certificate is set to help raise the bar when it comes to impact on service.

Aligned to CQC

The programme aligns with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations, meaning learners will meet the required standards for care provision. This helps maintain high standards of care and supports regulatory compliance.

How will employers claim back the cost?

Eligible employers can claim up to £1,500 per qualification for employees who have started the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2025.

Employers will be required to create an account with the Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS) in order to claim the funding.

The DHSC has emphasised that the funding pool is limited, and once exhausted, no further reimbursement claims will be accepted. Additionally, there is a cap on the total amount that can be reimbursed per organisation. If you have questions about how to access this funding, we are here to help.

How will learning be delivered?

Delivered holistically over a duration of 6-8 months, Realise’s unique delivery model is split into 3 manageable learning blocks, covering all 15 mandatory learning standards.

The course includes a mix of in-person and online learning allowing staff to fit training around their work schedules, minimising disruption to care services.

The training is designed to be directly applicable to daily care work. Staff can start using their new skills immediately, improving care outcomes and service delivery as they progress through the qualification.

Comprehensive learner support

Realise has a team of highly experienced trainers with industry backgrounds in adult care. Their deep knowledge of the care sector ensures that the training is practical, up-to-date, and aligned with current best practices.

Comprehensive support is also available for learners who wish to develop their Maths and English and Digital functional skills.

“Realise provides comprehensive learner support, from onboarding to completion. This includes pastoral care and help with signposting for any literacy, numeracy, and digital skills where needed, ensuring that all learners can succeed.”
