This role is perfect for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working with children, and wants to build a meaningful career in early years education. You don’t need loads of experience — just the right attitude, a caring nature, and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing
From story time and messy play to helping children build confidence and friendships, no two days are the same.

You will;

• Help create a warm, safe, and happy environment
• Support children with daily routines and activities
• Work closely with colleagues to support the smooth running of the nursery
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
• Follow all nursery policies and procedures
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment
• Attend college/training sessions as part of the apprenticeship programme
• Complete coursework and assignments within required timescales

Qualifications required

  • • Previous experience working with children (voluntary or paid)
  • • Basic understanding of child development
  • • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
