Our stunning, modern nursery has been thoughtfully designed with Early Years in mind, ensuring each child’s unique needs are nurtured as they grow from little explorers to budding inventors!
As an early years apprentice you will:
Engage and interact meaningfully with every child, creating warm and nurturing relationships.
Support daily routines and ensure the smooth operation of the room.
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children, maintaining professionalism and respect.
Use statutory and curriculum documents effectively, including safeguarding.
Support the key person system, ensuring children’s individual needs are met.
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of both children and employees.

Qualifications required
- Maths and English at grade 4 (or equivalent) and above desired.
Personal qualities
- • Passion for Early Years Education: A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to providing the best start in life.
- • Team Player: Excellent communication skills, the ability to give and receive feedback, and a positive, proactive approach.
Skills required
- • Knowledge of EYFS: A solid understanding of child development, the Birth to 5 Matters framework, and the EYFS curriculum.
- • Build Strong Relationships: Form bonds with children and their families, ensuring each child feels secure and supported.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
