Orchard House Nursery is a warm, nurturing and family-focused nursery caring for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Located in Blackheath and Charlton, the nursery provides a safe, stimulating environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and a lifelong love of learning.
We are looking for someone to join our team, that is willing to learn is committed to providing the best outcomes for children. They will need to be able to use their initiative, plan daily activities up load to our online portal. Work in partnership with parents.

As an Early Years Educator Apprentice, you will:

Support the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
Help create a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children.
Assist children with daily routines, meals and personal care.
Support children's emotional, social and educational development.
Observe and record children's progress and achievements.
Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing at all times.
Work alongside experienced practitioners to develop your childcare skills and knowledge.

Qualifications required

Grade 4 (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English desired but can work towards functional skills.

Long days and you will need to be able to be responsible for a key group daily, so you need to be committed and prepared to work hard.

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
