As a level 3 apprentice you would be expected -
● To learn, develop and grow knowledge of all aspects of caring for children within a nursery setting.
● To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children.
● To assist the wider team in providing rich learning opportunities for all children.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Develop and maintain good relationships and communications with parents to facilitate day-to-day caring needs.
● Support with domestic jobs within the nursery where required, for example; preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment and such other duties.
● To interact with the children at every opportunity.
● Observe and learn the responsibilities involved in taking on key children.
● To ensure that mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing by modelling positive behaviours.
● Take opportunities to help introduce the children to new learning experiences wherever possible.
● Ensure high standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
● Be familiar with all emergency procedures.
● To ensure all information received within the nursery is kept strictly confidential.
● To keep up to date with tasks and expectations for the qualification and deliverables form the training provider.
Qualifications required
- ● Maths & English at grade 4 (or equivalent) preferred
- ● To have experiences with working with children

- ● To be able to write using a good level of English when writing observations.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
