Vacancy Detail

Pudsey Day Nursery are looking for a level 2 apprentice to join their team. They aim to be the next best thing when carers and parents can not be around, to ensures that the children are comfortable, cared for and educated to the highest possible standards. This is an exciting opportunity to join this local, friendly nursery.

Some duties and responsibilities include:


Training in all aspects of the E.Y.P Level 2
Feeding
Toileting
Health and Safety
Communicating effectively with Children and Parents
Safeguarding
Support the planning and delivery of purposeful play activities in line with the early years foundation stage
Work with parents, colleagues and other agencies to ensure children’s individual needs are met
Support the children to understand healthy life choices through engaging play activities

Qualifications required

  • No formal qualifications are required however candidate must have basic literacy and numeracy skills

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Pudsey Day Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
