With seven nurseries across Knowsley and Liverpool, Playtots offer a safe, caring, and welcoming place where children can learn, play, and grow with confidence.

Key Responsibilities as a level 2 apprentice:

• Support the care, learning, and development of children aged 0-5 years.
• Help provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for all children.
• Assist with play activities and planned learning experiences that support children's development.
• Support children with personal care routines, including hygiene and meal times.
• Observe children's progress and contribute to development records and assessments.
• Help set up and tidy activities, ensuring the nursery remains clean, safe, and welcoming.
• Work under the guidance and supervision of experienced Early Years practitioners.

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Functional skills in Maths and English if required
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
