Vacancy Detail

This is a full time apprenticeship whilst you work towards completion of your Intermediate Level 2 Childcare qualification. You will be actively involved in the day to day activities and care of young children from the ages of 6 months - 5 years.

You will be involved in:

Play activities
Including outdoor play with the young children
Feeding
Changing
Craft and learning activities
General day-to-day care of the young children

Qualifications required

No formal childcare qualification required, however any relevant work experience would be advantageous
Candidates will need to hold or be capable of achieving GCSE C(4) grades or equivalents or above in English Language and mathematics

Personal qualities

Candidates must have the ability to build rapport with children of all ages
Candidates must be passionate about a career in childcare
You will be approachable, friendly and nurturing
Excellent personal presentation and good level of hygiene is essential

Skills required

Excellent communication skills
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills

Future Prospects

Excellent career prospects for the right candidate. Will work towards completion of Intermediate and Advanced Level Apprenticeship. You are employed within this nursery full time from day one. Possible permanent role for the right candidate

You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
Functional skills in Maths and English if required

This will be delivered through Little Cherubs' dedicated training provider, Realise.

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
