A people professional from Bicester is celebrating National Apprenticeship Week by completing two 24-month qualifications in the space of just 18 months.
Tyne Grant recently completed a Level 5 Learning & Development Business Partner apprenticeship with leading training provider Realise.
The programme has the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development embedded into it, making it a challenging but highly rewarding programme.
Speaking during National Apprenticeship Week, Tyne – who is Senior People Development Consultant for the TXM Group – said: “I knew I wanted to do the CIPD Level 5 as that is the gold standard in HR really. I already held other qualifications but not ones which were nationally recognised.”
Tyne, 34, said the amount of work required to complete two qualifications simultaneously was daunting at first but praised her Realise tutor for supporting her every step of the way.
She said: “I wasn’t sure what to expect from the apprenticeship, and the workload initially came as a bit of a shock. Balancing it with daily duties felt daunting at first, but it soon became manageable -and ultimately, a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
“My tutor, Karen Giles, was incredibly supportive, always accessible and willing to help throughout the journey.
“It was a challenging but rewarding experience. I received two recognised qualifications that will support me in my career.
“I strongly believe in the value of apprenticeships and encourage anyone to pursue one if they have the opportunity.”
Realise is one of the largest apprenticeship providers in the UK. The Level 5 Learning & Development Business Partner Apprenticeship programme is suitable for anyone working in L&D at a generalist or specialist level and covers a wide range of topics, including technical expertise, business understanding L&D function, developing learning culture and facilitation skills.
