Jacob’s Journey

Jacob Ralton, a dedicated professional in Early Years Education at Hunny Nurseries in Coalville, recognised the need to enhance his qualifications to advance his career. With aspirations to climb the career ladder, Jacob turned to Realise to undertake the Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.

This decision proved to be a turning point for him, as it was instrumental in securing his well-deserved promotion to Room Leader and later, Deputy Manager.

Turning Point

The challenge Jacob initially faced was clear: to move up the ranks, he needed to bolster his skills and knowledge. The Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship offered by Realise aligned perfectly with his professional goals, providing him with the essential qualifications required for career progression within his chosen field.

Jacob reflects, “I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t do the course so my life would have been really different. I needed my level 3 to progress in my career and that has worked amazingly as I am now a Deputy Manager!”

Life as a Deputy Manager

Jacob’s daily responsibilities as Deputy Manager are diverse. He is involved in teaching and caring for children, managing staff, supporting the nursery manager, running operations, and providing staff training.

The knowledge and skills acquired during Jacob’s apprenticeship are used regularly within his setting, “I use my new skills every single day and I share those skills with all my new staff members,” he recalls, highlighting the practical benefits of the programme.
