The CMI (Chartered Management Institute) Diploma in Principles of Management and Leadership is ideal for aspiring or existing supervisors, team leaders and managers who want to develop their management capability, strengthen their leadership skills and who want to become more confident and effective in their role. 

Whether you are preparing for your first management position or want a recognised qualification to support your existing experience, this practical training programme will help you develop skills you can use in the workplace. You'll work towards the CMI Level 3 Diploma in Principles of Management and Leadership while developing a broad range of practical skills you can apply directly in the workplace.

By the end of the programme, you'll have a recognised qualification and a practical set of management tools to help you lead people, improve performance and make a positive contribution to your organisation.

The programme is delivered over 9 months, with various start dates available from September 2026. 

Eligibility

To access this fully funded course, you must:

• Be aged 19 or over as of 31st August 2026
• Live in the Liverpool City Region
• Be unemployed or employed and earning under £35,864.40 per year
• Be ordinarily resident in UK, and have the right to live and work in UK
