At Realise, we pride ourselves on delivering life-changing opportunities, and our recent Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) with The Range in Morecambe is a shining example of that impact in action.

We partnered with Jobcentre Plus to support 24 learners in gaining qualifications and preparing for interviews with The Range. Despite having less than a week to put the programme together, our team delivered an incredible experience, proving that Realise can be extremely responsive to Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and local employer needs.

The results speak for themselves: every single participant turned up for their interviews – an achievement that even the Jobcentre Plus team is proud of! Not only did they complete the full week of training, but they also formed strong friendships and supported each other throughout the process.

The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, particularly about their Tutor, Liam O’Brien, who played a key role in supporting the learners. Several participants personally expressed their gratitude, highlighting his encouragement and dedication. It’s fantastic to see how Realise trainers go above and beyond to make a difference.

Following the interviews, 18 jobs were available, and we’re thrilled that five of these have already been offered to SWAP participants. This is a fantastic outcome and a testament to the learners’ hard work, the Realise team’s dedication, and our strong partnership with JobCentre Plus and The Range.
