The Award in Education and Training is an introductory and essential qualification for anyone who teaches others within the adult education and skills sectors.
It’s especially relevant to those working as teachers, trainers, coaches or within a learning and development function.

The course can be delivered flexibly, and the teaching will be tailored to the learner’s role or sector. What’s more, thanks to funding from West Midlands Combined Authority, this course is offered fully funded.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the courses, candidates must:

• Be aged 19 or over
• Have lived in the UK for the past 3 years
• Have the right to live and work in the UK
• Live at a West Midlands postcode

What will the course include?

The programme is designed to be interactive and different to traditional methods of teaching.
There’s no staring at a PowerPoint presentation, instead we will focus on the needs of the individual learners through collaborative teaching methods.

Topics include:

• Roles, responsibilities and relationships.
• Inclusive learning and teaching approaches.
• Assessment of learners.
• Inclusive teaching and learning approaches.
• Facilitating learning and development for groups and individuals.

Plus, we will discuss the latest developments in teaching tools including experiential learning and contextualisation.
