Our business administrator apprenticeship has been designed by curriculum and sector experts from a range of different industries to reflect the transferable nature of the skills being learnt and used every day.
The content of the programme is to support apprentices who wish to progress on their chosen pathway to develop themselves to the next level as Senior support roles, Assistant Project Managers, or Management positions within the organisation.
The programme is delivered flexibly with no fixed start dates and can be tailored to meet your industry and sector.
Our 12-15 month blended learning programme provides you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in any office environment.
This course is cost-free to learners. All our programmes are regulated and funded through the government or the apprenticeship levy.
Is this course right for you?
This programme has 2 pathways for learners, depending on their level of experience.
Advanced Pathway 1: Designed to upskill employees who already have some level of experience in a business administration role and are looking to progress. Complete the programme in 12 months.
Entry-level Pathway 2: Designed for those who are new to the work environment. Complete the programme in 15 months.
Key skills for the role include having a positive attitude, taking responsibility, time management, accuracy, attention to detail and working with integrity.
As a business administrator you’ll also be expected to show initiative, managing priorities and use problem-solving skills, as well as supporting others.
The role is typically varied, challenging and exciting and provides a platform for you to thrive in a business administration role by gaining a sound understanding of the business administrator fundamentals.

How you’ll learn
You’ll learn and be taught by an experienced Trainer dedicated to you, supporting you every step of the way through the programme.
This includes:
- Hands on learning – apply your skills to real life working scenarios
- Virtual and/or face to face classroom sessions, including regular workshops
- Independent learning, including access to an online resource library and AI generated webinars to expand your knowledge
- 121 coaching and mentoring support scheduled around your needs, with quarterly progress reviews
- Support from English/Maths specialists (if needed)
- End Point Assessment (EPA) preparation and gateway readiness checks
Each month will consist of set pre work including organisational evidence gathering, research tasks and webinars ahead of the classroom workshops.
The workshop sessions will cover knowledge relating to the IfATE standard, bespoke organisational content, and wider learning, through interactive activities and engaging resources.
Post work activities will support the embedding of knowledge into the skills and behaviours within the organisational workplace.
Halfway through the programme, learners will complete a presentation reflecting on the knowledge, skills and behaviours learnt and personal development in their role so far.
The programme will be then finalised with a closing presentation ahead of the end point assessment window to complete your learning.

Trainer assessor
I am a qualified and experienced trainer with 23 years of experience in the industry and almost 15 of these with Realise! With extensive experience in customer service, retail and business administration, working in these sectors since the age of 15. I have a plethora of knowledge and skills to support learners at various stages of their career. Along with my excellent and cheery communication skills, I love supporting people and it is a pleasure to see them succeed in achieving their goals and aspirations.


Training & development officer
I have a vast experience in trade, entertainment and retail. I took the plunge back in 2007 to become an assessor and never looked back. I qualified as an assessor back in 2007 and I have loved teaching and learning for the last 16 years and the last five years at Realise. Which I have to say has been an experience that I have enjoyed most out of my training career.


Training & development officer
I am an experienced assessor and trainer, delivering retail, customer service and business administration from level 2 to Level 4. I have been working in the industry for the last seven years and started working with Realise in October 2018. I have a bachelor degree in economics and masters in business administration. I have more than 10 years of experience in retail and business administration. Ever since I have moved into this role, I have enjoyed it immensely as it has been both challenging and rewarding at the same time. I always try to keep myself extremely organised and have a flexible approach to my workload.
I am a proud dad of two lovely kids and love to enjoy my time with my family. Besides my work and family life, it’s all about sport. sport is my passion and hobby. I love to watch football, cricket and tennis. I am a die-hard fan of Manchester United and closely follow English County Championships. I am also a big fan of Roger Federer.
