During National Apprenticeship Week (3 to 9 February 2020), Eurocell announced a partnership with leading training provider, Realise. The collaboration saw 33 Eurocell employees begin trade supplier apprenticeships.

In line with the government guidance regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, Eurocell temporarily closed operations, branches and online shops. Despite the change, Eurocell is still encouraging employees to continue their apprenticeship studies, including those who are on furlough.

Eurocell and Realise have worked quickly to adapt the training so that all employees have an equal opportunity to complete their apprenticeships. Apprentices now have remote access to learning materials, attend virtual classrooms and can communicate with their tutors through videoconferencing.

The changes mean that learners can learn from home. The ability to study remotely will enable them to progress their training and avoid any unnecessary delays in completing the apprenticeship.

“Both Eurocell and Realise are wholeheartedly committed to the apprenticeship programme. During these difficult times, we wanted to ensure that apprentices had the chance to continue their studies.

“I am absolutely delighted that the apprentices can continue to study towards the trade supplier qualification. We are really enjoying supporting the teams as they learn new skills, grow in confidence and work towards their qualifications.”

All apprentices remain on track to complete their programmes in the summer of 2021.
