Nursery group appoints Realise to support rapid UK growth

An ambitious nursery group with plans for rapid growth in the UK has appointed Realise as its principal training provider.

Rapid growth:

Kinderzimmer, one of Germany’s largest childcare providers, with 35 settings, has made the move into the UK market by opening a new nursery in Muswell Hill, North London.

There are plans to open two more settings in London by the end of the year – and a further eight across the capital and the Home Counties by the conclusion of 2024.

Intensive recruitment:

An intensive recruitment process is underway – and Kinderzimmer has appointed Realise to cover its training requirements.

Charlotte Roberts, Director of Operations at Kinderzimmer UK, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have Realise on board as we embark on this exciting journey.

“Staff retention and encouraging early years professionals to join us are key for us as we look to grow at pace.

“Realise stood head and shoulders above other training providers during the tender process. What impressed us most was the multi-faceted approach which means they can not only offer first-class training to our apprentices that are new to the sector, but they can also offer upskilling opportunities, including up to level 5.”

Charlotte continues:

“We offer a very high quality curriculum backed by some of the pioneering theorists in early years so we need the very best people working with us.

“I have worked in settings where Realise have been involved in training and the standard has always been excellent. We are certain that they can support our people in the best way.”

Kinderzimmer Muswell Hill is a 57 place setting with one apprentice. The two settings to follow before the end of the year – in Berkhamsted and Walton-on-Thames – will have a combined 207 places with three apprentices.

Karen Derbyshire adds:

Realise will also support Kinderzimmer with employee CPD as well as providing recruitment assistance.

Karen Derbyshire, Operations Director of Early Years & Education at Realise, said: “We are delighted to have teamed up with Kinderzimmer as they start an exciting journey of UK expansion.

“Kinderzimmer put a huge emphasis on learning and child development. Clearly, they need motivated and highly-trained early years professionals to deliver on this aim and we’ll work with them every step of the way to ensure that is the case.

“Ultimately, our main aim is to produce fantastic early years practitioners for Kinderzimmer, whether that be introducing new people to the sector or adding to the skills, knowledge and experience of existing staff members.”
