Safeguarding policies at Realise heralded

A leading UK training provider has received a Gold Standard award to recognise the measures it has in place to ensure the safety and welfare of its apprentices, adult learners, and colleagues.

About Realise and safeguarding

Realise Learning and Employment Limited has clear lines of accountability in their arrangements for safeguarding children and adults at risk. The DSL and her team of deputies have a good level of independence in decision-making in safeguarding cases. The DSL has established effective lines of communication with local authorities in cases where this is required. Senior leaders provide highly effective support for the safeguarding team. They ensure that safeguarding and child protection are prioritised and remain at the forefront in all aspects of process and policy development.

A positive, supportive culture exists throughout the organisation which supports and promotes safeguarding very effectively.

Kim Curtain, Safeguarding & Wellbeing Manager at Realise, said:

“We were absolutely delighted to achieve a Gold Award from Leaders in Safeguarding. We have always taken safeguarding very seriously and strived for excellence. The advice, guidance, and support we have received from Leaders in Safeguarding has been invaluable in ensuring our processes and procedures are as good as they can be.

We work with thousands of learners every year from all age groups, backgrounds and cultures. We are focused and driven to ensure that all barriers are removed to allow every single learner to achieve their potential, whether on an apprenticeship or an adult skills course.

We’ll continue to work hard to ensure safeguarding remains at the core of everything we do.”
