Realise and Buildbase

Realise has worked with Buildbase, one of the UK’s fastest growing builders merchants, to design a brand new apprenticeship to train new and existing team members.

Apprentices will learn about Buildbase, its suppliers, products and how to deliver great service though a curriculum that was developed with input from previous Apprentices and Branch Managers.

Jasmine Copland from Buildbase Gainsborough and Ben Albone at Buildbase Grantham will be the first candidates to register onto the Trade Supplier Apprenticeship.

Neil Williams, Realise’s Key Account Manager

“We are proud to have worked closely with Buildbase to develop an apprenticeship that we passionately believe will help people from all walks of life progress with the company”.

“The curriculum covers a broad range of learning, from product knowledge and customer service to company values, policies and procedures.  The apprenticeship also requires learners to carry out research projects, which will help them develop while benefitting the business too “.

“This is a great example of the way we can work with other larger employers to make apprenticeships work for them”.

Adrian Rowley, Learning and Development Manager at Buildbase

“The Trade Supplier Apprenticeship is a great way to kick-start a career in our industry. Apprentices can use it as a springboard for further development, through a Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship and beyond”.

“The apprenticeship standard has been developed by our industry and we’ve worked closely with Realise to tailor it to suit our specific needs. Apprentices will get all the learning they need to be successful in their role, including understanding the products we sell, how to deliver great service and meet customer needs.”
