About Natasha:

Natasha Weller, a dedicated Kitchen and Bathroom Assistant at Wickes, has embarked on an exciting journey of professional growth with the Level 3 Retail Team Leader course offered by Realise. With a strong desire to advance her career and more free time as her daughter grows older, Natasha decided to take the plunge into further education.

A typical day for Natasha starts early, with team meetings, showroom maintenance, and appointment scheduling. She spends her afternoons addressing customer service issues, ensuring that every customer receives the high-quality service they deserve.

Despite the busy nature of her role, Natasha finds immense satisfaction in seeing projects through from start to finish and resolving any challenges along the way.

We asked Natasha about her training experience with Realise:

“Sandy Chahal has been an amazing trainer so far with my apprenticeship. She explains things in a way in which I understand and goes into further detail when needed for me. This breaks up the assignments, so it doesn’t seem as much of a huge task.”

When asked about her favourite part of the training, Natasha shared:

“I am very much enjoying my current training. I am learning a lot more now than I ever have within Wickes and I feel like I am very much suited to the role I will be progressing into, a management position focussed upon customer service.”

Any tips for those considering an apprenticeship?

“Just go for it! You may think it’s a lot of work. Yes, it is a bit of work. But you can find the time to do the assignments. I have a busy family, I have limited time and I do work a lot, but overall I should be furthering myself and raising myself up so I feel better in myself.”

In her free time, Natasha enjoys spending time with her 8-year-old daughter, gaming, decorating, and interior design. She also has a love for animals and studied them in college. Her dream is to one day combine her passion for retail and animal care.

With the support of Realise and her Training and Development Officer Sandy, Natasha is well on her way to achieving her career goals and making a positive impact in her role at Wickes.
