Alina, originally from Romania, decided to start a new career by accessing a fully funded course.

Alina’s story:

Alina is a cleaner and a mum. She was on the lookout for a new form of sustainable employment when she saw the opportunity to enhance her skills through a free training course aimed specifically for preparing people to work in schools.

Alina’s story: “My name is Alina; I am originally from Romania and have lived in the UK sixteen years now. Before taking this course, I was a part time cleaner and stay at home mum.

“The training was absolutely fantastic, I learnt lots of new, interesting knowledge to help me get a job in schools.

“My tutor Lindsey made everything fun and gave me the confidence and passion to keep going. I will hopefully progress to the level two course next”.

Alina hopes to apply for jobs in schools after she completes the level two course, with enhanced knowledge and skills ready to add to her CV which will give her a head start.

This programme is made possible thanks to funding by Liverpool council.

“I have waited a long time for a course like this and to be able to work in schools. When I saw the course advertised, I applied straight away”.
