About the course

Please note this free course is available in Liverpool City Region, West Yorkshire, West Midlands and Tees Valley due to funding. We also offer an equivalent apprenticeship with is available throughout England.

This 9 month programme is delivered throughout the year which means you are able to start when it suits you.

You will learn new knowledge, skills and behaviours so that you can deliver effective leadership, guidance and direction at the frontline of care delivery.

You will be instrumental in improving the health and wellbeing of those receiving care and support, guiding those around you to deliver quality compassionate care.

Training is delivered both on-the-job and off-the-job. You’ll receive workplace face to face teaching and observations as well as joining webinars, virtual one-to-one sessions, completing online learning and independent tasks. Your trainer will meet with you every month in a teaching and learning session and be on hand at all times so that you get the very best support.

What you’ll learn

You’ll develop a wide range of skills so that you’re able to successfully supervise, lead and support others to deliver quality care. We’ll teach and support you to be a competent lead adult care worker able to deliver the very best care and be an expert practitioner.
