Realise is the UK's sixth-best large workplace for wellbeing 2022

Realise

This accreditation has been awarded to us by Great Place to Work, after Realise employees completed GPTW’s anonymous, Trust-Index survey.

The results are in:

We are pleased to announce that Realise has been ranked sixth in the country for best large workplace for wellbeing in 2022 by ‘Great Place To Work’. As one of the UK’s leading training providers, we know better than anyone how important a part people play in the success of any business.

Our team’s mental and physical wellbeing is a priority in our business, and we are proud to be able to say that our employees feel that their wellbeing is valued, considered, and cared for.

How we’re measured by Great Place To Work:

All colleagues are given the chance to complete a Trust Index survey, with the results analysed.

One of the key criteria is how many employees offer a favourable response to working at Realise. Anything in excess of 65 per cent of favourable responses secures Great Place to Work certification and we were thrilled to secure a total of 91 per cent.

As a high-scoring certified organisation, we will now be considered to feature within the Best Workplace lists which will be published early next year.

Other results saw 94 per cent of colleagues respond favourably when asked if they had confidence in the senior executive team, while 99 per cent feel they were treated fairly at Realise, regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation.

More than 97 per cent of responses had confidence in the management team, including having a clear view on the long-term direction of the business, while 93 per cent felt their current position had special meaning and was “more than just a job.”

Sue Kamal, Realise’s People Director talked about the award saying:

“I’m so proud that Realise has been named as the sixth, best large workplace for wellbeing in 2022. At Realise wellbeing, and good mental health in particular, is something that we talk about and prioritise everyday both with our people and with the learners that we support.

It’s reassuring to receive the feedback that our focus and support is valued although there’s so much more to do. We will continue to talk about, educate and challenge ourselves regarding mental health to ensure that our people feel able to cope with personal challenges and feel truly supported.”

We will continue to talk about, educate and challenge ourselves regarding mental health to ensure that our people feel able to cope with personal challenges and feel truly supported.

Supporting wellbeing in the workplace

We have taken other steps to ensure that everyone working at Realise feels supported and we are currently listed on the ‘Charter for Employers Positive about Mental Health’.

Additionally, our employees do not have to acquire permission to attend a medical appointment. We use flexi-working to enable certain teams to work when they are most productive, and do not enforce a dress code at work so that our team can feel comfortable. We use these initiatives, amongst others, to continually support our team’s mental and physical health.

Charter of Employers for Positive Mental Health

We have also joined the Charter of Employers for Positive Mental Health and have been officially recognised as a Mindful Employer. This means that have made a meaningful and ongoing commitment to support and prioritise our employees’ mental wellbeing and to tackle the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health.
