Transport apprentices celebrated at special Abellio event

The transport team at Realise were thrilled to attend a celebration for our apprentices at one of the UK’s largest transport operators earlier this month.

The Abellio event

Abellio London Bus hosted a special event in the capital to celebrate our apprentices who had successfully passed End Point Assessment and achieved their qualification.

Similar to a graduation, our apprentices were invited to a unique ceremony at the Double Tree Hilton Victoria and had the option to bring along two friends or family members to join in the celebrations.

Urmish Patel, Head of HR for Abellio London Bus, delivered a speech for our apprentices who were then called up to meet Tony Wilson, Managing Director for Abellio London Bus. Graduates received the acclaim of the audience as well as a special crystal award and goody bag.

Kairon Flowers, Head of Transport for Realise, said:

“It was great to attend the event and mark all the hard work and dedication our apprentices have put in over the last 14 months to achieve their qualifications.

Everyday millions of people travel on buses to see friends and family, access education, travel to healthcare or to go on holiday so it’s really important that we have people coming through who want to fill these roles.

Our apprentices have now got the skills and knowledge to play a vital role in providing a high quality, accessible and safe passenger transport service to all customers.

It’s really rewarding to know that we’ve helped people begin a career with an employer that offers a variety of benefits, a great working environment and an excellent starting salary.

If you’re looking for a way into the transport industry, then it’s definitely worth contacting us for more information on the apprenticeship programme”.
